Of Boards and Planks: Lotus Link and Extended Leg Balance

There is no longer a need to unsettle this scene so you can run through your Namaste Yoga sequences. You can download them from iTunes and create your very own #namasteNewViews! 

Lotus Link and Extended Leg Balance are a fantastic pair for focusing on upper and lower body in one session. An inspirational place to try this combination is an unfinished, wooden structure. The straight lines of wall frames and ceiling beams call out reminders to keep your body strong and straight through Forward Facing Planks and Warrior poses alike. 

If you ever find yourself kicking a chair when raising up to Extended Leg Balance or using a table to catch yourself when you lose balance in Warrior III, an open space such as this will eliminate those obstacles (or crutches as the case may be). The exposed boards make for great focal points to help keep your balance in standing poses. No worries about brushing up against a low ceiling either!
